Stone Treatment Options
Clean and Buff
Rotating nylon brushes loosen and clean soil, dust and grease away from stone and grout. Surfaces are then hand scrubbed around edges to ensure even wall-to-wall clean.
Restoration
For hard surfaces that need more attention, our team of experts fill and repair holes, chips and cracks and refinish blemishes to match surrounding stone. Microscopic imperfections in the stone are removed and surfaces are polished to high gloss, satin or matte finish.
Resealing
Using a water-based, non-film forming sealer, we apply a durable barrier to porous stone and hard surfaces. This sealer adds unsurpassed protection without affecting the appearance of the stone and is finished with a final buff to remove any streaks.

Types of Stone

Marble
Very few rocks have as many uses as marble from floors to countertops and vanities. Every piece of marble is unique and requires specific cleaning and sealing process. It can be polished to a matte, low-shine or high gloss finish.
Granite
Heat resistant and known for its strength, granite surfaces require little maintenance further than cleaning and sealing if cared for properly.
Travertine
Gaining in popularity for its versatility, travertine although similar to limestone, is considered a type of marble. Due to its high porosity rate this stone requires more care and repair than other stones.
Slate
Most commonly used in flooring, slate is a durable and beautiful high-end option that requires unique installation and maintenance needs.
Saltillo, Clay,
Terra Cotta
One of the specialties here at Aladdin, Saltillo tiles and other clay products require a base seal at the time of their manufacturing. These tiles need multiple coats of acrylic floor finish known as “wear coat” to protect the original clay from damage.
Brick
Like other Saltillo, brick is often worn and broken due to years of improper cleaning and sealing. We have extensive knowledge and expertise in the restoration and refinishing of brick.
Terrazzo
Terrazzo is a composite material made of chips of aggregates like marble or stone. It can be poured like concrete and finished in place or installed in premade tiles. It can be refinished in a variety of finishes due to its similarities to marble and travertine.
Concrete
One of the most durable flooring options, concrete is long-lasting and easy to maintain. But if not sealed properly, it can be damaged by moisture
